Tea cupboard looking a bit bare after the long winter? Freshen it up with these enticing spring picks!
Guest post by Theresa Lemieux
We wait every year for traditional Christmas foods. Murchie’s Christmas Blend Tea is on my list of seasonal creature comforts, not only for an afternoon treat, but as a festive way to start my day.
Black tea is a fabulous ingredient in baking, especially in desserts. These tiny tartelettes are perfect for gifting and are just the right size to share space on a dessert platter with your shortbread and slices of Murchie’s Christmas Cake.
With the holidays fast approaching, now's the time to add nourishing beverages to our routine to help balance out the sweet indulgences that come with the season. How about a delicious mug of Golden Milk made with our very own Turmeric Elixir herbal blend?
Located north-east of India, Nepal is situated along the Himalayas, and shares a very similar growing climate and production technique Darjeeling. The resulting cup of tea bares a striking resemblances, many of the same characteristic muscatel grape flavours that makes Darjeeling so sought after. Tea growing in the region began in 1837, and has only grown since then, taking off in the 1970s. Although Nepal ranks only the top 20 or so tea producing countries, in recent years it has produced some outstanding hand-crafted offerings, branching out of black teas into white, oolong and greens.
We're just about halfway through summer but we're not letting patio sipping stop here! This beautiful alcohol-free tea cocktail is made with our Blue Jasmine Tea, a blend of delicate Bai Mudan white tea, fragrant jasmine green tea, and butterfly pea flowers. The layered look of this colourful drink makes it a fun summer treat for all ages!
