Fall For Pumpkin Spice
Layla Osberg - Sept. 17, 2018
Pumpkin season is here, but you don't need to visit a pumpkin patch to celebrate the occasion! Enjoy a delicious cup of Pumpkin Spice Café Latte or Tea Latte at home with our easy recipes.
PUMPKIN SPICE TEA LATTE
INGREDIENTS:
- Sweetener of choice like vanilla syrup or honey, to taste
- 1 tablespoon of Pumpkin Spice loose tea or 1 Pumpkin Spice tea bag
- Pumpkin pie spice blend (a pinch of each of the following spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves)
- ½ mug of water
- ½ mug of milk
STEPS:
- Add all ingredients to a small pot and heat to just below boiling. Reduce to a simmer for 3 - 5 minutes. Strain into your favourite mug (if using loose tea).
- Garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice blend and serve immediately.
PUMPKIN SPICE CAFE LATTE
INGREDIENTS:
- Sweetener (honey, vanilla syrup, sugar) to taste
- An espresso shot of Murchie's Government Street Coffee
- Pumpkin pie spice blend (a pinch of each of the following spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves)
- Steamed milk
 STEPS:
- Add sweetener of choice to mug.
- Brew espresso shot and pour into mug.
- Sprinkle pumpkin pie spice blend over the espresso.
- Steam milk nice and hot and pour to the top.
- Finish by sprinkling pumpkin pie spice blend on top of foam.
Note: if you do not have an espresso machine, simply make a strong brew of coffee and use ¼ cup in place of the espresso shot. The milk can be prepared by heating it on the stovetop.
