White Rabbit Tea Latte
Breanne Teranishi - Jan. 20, 2023
Author: Layla Osberg
This January 22nd marks the year of the rabbit according to the Chinese zodiac, and we want to celebrate with a new recipe: The White Rabbit Tea Latte! Made with the ubiquitous Asian grocery market shelf staple of the same name, the familiar and nostalgic-tasting White Rabbit milky candies (still wrapped in an edible film!) are dissolved into hot milk and added to black tea. We used our new Publisher’s Blend Loose Tea for this recipe which is a blend of Keemun, Assam and Yunan teas, and has a wonderfully malty flavour. Check out our simple recipe and taste for yourself why we think it’s an instant classic.
White Rabbit Tea Latte
Ingredients
- 4 - 6 White Rabbit candies, depending on how sweet you’d like it
- 200ml milk
- 2 tablespoons Publisher's Blend Loose Tea
- 150ml hot water
Directions
In a small pot on the stove, add the milk and 4 - 6 unwrapped White Rabbit candies.
Stir the milk and candies with a metal whisk over medium heat until the candies are completely dissolved. This will take around 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Steep the tea for 3 - 5 minutes and strain into a mug. Top up with the sweet milk mixture and stir.
