5 Floral and Fruit Forward Teas that are Perfect for Mother's Day

a yuzu and orange mocktail for Mother’s Day morningÂ
Spring is finally here, and with all the flowers in bloom it’s as though it’s nature’s cue for us to celebrate Mother's Day! Here at Murchie's, we’re especially thrilled for Mother’s Day this year as we have just released an amazing group of floral and fruit forward spring teas. Even if mom usually goes for classic teas, it can be a lovely and unexpected surprise to receive something new. Just read on for how delicious they sound! Whether you’re searching for something special to serve with Mother’s Day brunch or a treat with breakfast in bed, you’ll find the tea that mom will love.
Royal Grey
This is a great tea for the mom who loves her Earl Grey. The sweet/tart combination of currants and cream are like a creamsicle, making it the perfect treat tea. The twist of bergamot keeps it classic, making it the ideal tea for any occasion.
Sunrise Yuzu
It is a pleasant surprise how enjoyable this tea is. Even if mom’s a traditionalist when it comes to her morning cuppa, this invigorating super citrusy herbal botanical blend has a base of cascara coffee cherry that’ll start her day off bright-eyed.
Yuzu Grey
This new addition to our Earl Grey family provides just the right amount of citrus. The yuzu flavour adds an intriguing grapefruit/lime twist that makes it quite special, while the bergamot and lemon keep it a classic.
Poet’s Blend
Has mom gotten into our Green/Black blends yet? This could be the perfect opportunity to introduce her to our long-standing tradition of blending together green and black teas, a practice common since the 1700’s. Poet's Blend fits right into this niche. It’s a medium-light tea pairing jasmine green tea with a south Fujian oolong flavoured with orange blossom. Marrying the two florals creates a subtle and fruity perfume that’s rounded out with Keemun and Ceylon teas. This tea makes for a wonderful afternoon blend that pairs particularly well with shortbread.
Honeybee
Honeybee black tea could easily be moms new tea cupboard staple. Pleasant honeyed sweetness and light floral and fruity notes differentiate it from other black teas. Pair it with a new tea towel from Ulster Weaver’s and you’ve got your Mother’s Day gift sorted.
