I've been through phases of using tea balls before, but I've always given up because I find they're too small - they don't leave enough room for the leaves to circulate once they've opened. This one is a perfect size - fully 2.5 inches in diameter, which allows more than enough room for a single scoop of tea, even one with very large leaves. It's sturdy and easy to clean, and the leaf design is pretty too.
