Interesting new experience Review by Vlad
Honestly, I have no idea how someone even came up with an idea to blend this tea, but it was definitely a great idea! After drinking tea for over 15 years I would most surely put it in my top 3 of the most unique teas I've ever tasted! I liked the taste a lot, but acknowledge that those who don't like coconuts might not enjoy it - there's a strong taste of it. Even then - I recommend to try it simply to enrich your experience!

Just got my Snowflake tea, and oh my, this stuff is amazing! It really does taste like marzipan. And the scent is out of this world. It somehow manages to taste rich, sweet and creamy without any of the fat, sugar and calories of marzipan. This is my first time trying Snowflake tea but I will definitely be getting more.

I tried this for the first time last month, and I need to get more of it right away. If you like almonds and coconut, this is perfect. I love the coconut cream tea, but this is different. I will keep both of them on hand as long as Murchie's keeps making them.

Back again this year for my snowflake tea. I've already had my pound of tea delivered but with Cyber Friday had to come back for more. When it's cold outside and I am sitting on my couch with a cup of this tea it's wonderful. I can't say enough about my favorite tea. If you love almond and coconut you have to give it a try. It's like a warm hug on a cold day!

I just received my order from Murchie's and I ordered the Snowflake tea for the 1st time. I only ordered the 2oz size to try and I LOVE THIS TEA. I have tried a lot of tea's over the years and I have to say this is by far my favorite. It's not a cheap tea but once I tasted it I knew I had to come back and order a pound of it to get me through the winter. You can taste the coconut and almond and it's like a dessert in a tea cup. I have visited Victoria several time and Murchie's is a place my mom and I go several times while visiting. I have a girlfriend that has never visited Canada so for this Christmas she is receiving a Murchie's Christmas. She is getting the Christmas Coffee, Christmas Tea, the Hot Chocolate and a Victoria Tea cup from the accessories. I sent it with a card telling her I was giving her a taste of Victoria for Christmas. I know she will enjoy her gift as much as I have enjoyed Murchies for the last 32 years. If ordering your tea and coffee please try the Snowflake tea, you won't be sorry.

Steeping the Best (Guide)
Different types of teas should be steeped according to certain times and water temperatures to bring out their best flavours. Use this guide as a starting point, and then experiment until you find the perfect brewing method for your favourite tea.
Based on approximately one level teaspoon (2.5 g) of loose tea or one tea bag per 6-8 ounce (180-240 mL) cup. For stronger flavour, add more tea. Brewing for longer may increase the strength of the tea, but will likely also cause bitterness.
Tea Bags vs. Loose Tea
While our tea bags and loose tea are crafted to match the same flavour profile, there are discernable effects between the two formats. Namely, the leaves inside tea bags is milled, making it much finer and a quicker brew, while loose tea can take a couple minutes longer to steep. Tea bags are very convenient, but loose tea can be more visually appealing and brewed with a reusable infuser.
- Tea bags: steep for 3 - 4 minutes
- Loose tea: steep for 4 - 5 minutes
General Steeping Temperatures
The table included here shows some general guidelines for steeping different kinds of tea. Be mindful that some teas, even two from the same category, will brew differently than others. In particular, our green-black blends will often have different ratios of green and black teas - the more green-leaning ones should be brewed at a lower temperature range. Experimentation is highly encouraged, as tea is very much a matter of personal taste.
Puerh and oolong teas are often steeped multiple times for a shorter period of time in smaller brewing vessels. This method creates a curious exploration of the tea as it unfurls, developing new flavours with each subsequent brew - often making for great social conversation.
If you're unsure, try steeping in the middle range for your tea type. If the result is too bitter, steep at a lower temperature or for a shorter time. If the result is flat, try a higher temperature.
